Current Song Demos
Growing up in L.A. during the 1950's I often tuned my crystal radio (don't ask) to a local station playing the music of a certain Spade Cooley, who occasionally featured an amazing steel guitar player named Speedy West. Mesmerized by the sounds of his playing I was soon hooked on the steel guitar and great American music of all genres. In 2002 I began the journey of writing my own songs, recently collaborating with poet to pursue our own fusion of poetry and song.

Credit Where Credit's Due
I thank Jackie Cook's Nashville Song Cellar for always producing professional high quality demo recordings. Jackie is particularly good at matching vacalists to your songs and his choice of Christy Cornelius to sing my song "Dropped Stitches" was, as they say "right on the money".
is an accomplished musician/engineer creating wonderful demos for very reasonable prices at his Gator Hole studio. Thanks Galen
for chosing Jeff Carson to sing "Checking Out The Checker" and "Lucky To Work In A Garden".
is the place on the internet to study the craft of songwriting. Danny Arena and Sara Light have created a space where the ability to interact with fellow students and obtain unvarnished feedback from successful artists/songwriters is unparalleled. CHECK IT OUT!
